The Bones are starting to Show
by Slidin Fast inthe latest phase of the uk charity commission case included this:.
subsequent to the opening of the inquiry, in a letter dated 10 july 2014, mr cook of the watchtower informed the respondent that the disfellowshipping hearing for mr rose had in fact been carried out by the elders of a different congregation, so the charity had played no role in that process.
mr cook (who is the in-house solicitor at the watchtower) later elaborated on his own letter in a witness statement for the tribunal.

Yes the Watchtower Corporation is trying to distance itself as much as possible by making these dummy corporations to relay orders directly from the GB, but I don't think these will offer the refuge the GB in their delusional state think it will, hey a drowning man will grasp at straw floating on the water even though it will offer no hope of salvation. -

Ok, so in the spirit of the April broadcast, what do you want to ask god to fix for you?
by stuckinarut2 inso by now most of us have heard about (or watched) the april broadcast and the ridiculous "experience" of the guy that asked god to fix his construction leak before he believed in him..... so, what would you like to "pray that god fixes" in your life??.
humorous or serious replies welcome!
(although sarcastic, cynical and funny replies preferred hehe).

I want to ask him to find my keys, I hear he is really good with that and helping a person get to work on time, and speeding up the processing of income tax returns, but it seems prayers for food for starving children and curing people dying of horrible diseases he's has a very slow response time(2000 years and counting). -

Theory of god
by azor ini have noticed that theists have an aversion to the word theory.
as it is mostly attached to evolution, and they have a deep misunderstanding of what the word means.. i'm probably botching the following statement but the general idea is as follows.
it has been said that whoever sets the parameters of the battle or frames the argument wins.

A theory on good and evil instincts.
by Aleon ingood day, i am s.f.
van der meulen.
have any of you ever heard of my theory that explains human instincts?

Good and evil are labels we as humans put on things so these terms are intricately woven into the psyche by indoctrination and varies from person to person, cultures, and religious indoctrination.
We also stuff what we consider as evil about ourselves into our psychological 'shadow' of denial and project it on to those that have a psychological hook we can hang it on. Learning to come to terms with one's own shadow leads to many benefits and withdrawal of one's projections and a different viewpoint not clouded with all kinds of prejudice.

What is BELIEF ?
by EdenOne instemming from the 'absentheism' thread, an old question came to my mind.
what exactly is "belief"?.
is it the same to ask: "do you believe in god?
-

The word belief has several meanings depending on context. If we are a predominately black and white thinker then it can only have one or two meanings at most because shades of gray are confusing to a b&w type.
So get those neurons firing and form new circuits connections by letting go of one size fits all black and white either this or that with no inbetweenness allowed thinking.

Paranormal activity in a room at Ohio University
by economy inwhy this room (no 428), located at ohio university, is unavailable to students?.
it has been boarded up and closed off because of various paranormal reports regarding the room.
poltergeist activity has been felt: objects flying across the room, doors that open and shut by themselves, and dark shadows appearing and disappearing without explanation.

Well I think he used the scientific method best he could being the subject he examined is rather illusive to scientific examination with the technology avalible at the time. Today's technology offers a much deeper look and I don't think much of what Jung wrote has been dis proven. Freud his adoptive father was mush more a materialist and so was apposed to Jung's exploration into the occult. -

Why people don't believe in God
by pressman indo you want to know why i think people don't believe in god?
well i believe people don't want to believe in god because they are scared.
they know that if they finally do gorge the confidence to believe in him, he might discipline them for their skepticism.

A punishing Deity that feels slighted over disbelief in his existence makes no logical sense as the feelings we experience as humans are transfered to the Deity.
